Few young drummers represent that mindset better than Luca Bastian Romeo, better known as Luca B Drums.
Based in Las Vegas, Luca has built a growing following through his incredible speed, precision, and relentless dedication to extreme metal drumming. Despite his young age, he's already accumulated live touring experience, developed a professional-level setup, and continues to raise the bar every time he sits behind the kit.
We recently caught up with Luca to learn more about his musical journey, influences, goals, and what drives him to keep pushing forward.
When Did You Get Into Music and Drums?
Luca:
"I got into music at a very young age but didn't start playing drums until I was 9½ years old. I only started taking drums seriously when I was 11 years old."
For someone who has only been seriously focused on drumming for a few years, Luca's growth has been nothing short of remarkable.
How Did Music Change You as a Person?
Luca:
"It hasn't changed me at all. It's something that's always been in me."
What Were Some of Your Early Influences?
Luca:
"KISS, W.A.S.P., Midnight Oil, and Iron Maiden."
What's Your Favorite Way to Listen to Music?
Luca:
"In the car."
Simple. Honest. Effective.
When Was Your First Concert?
Luca:
"KISS at Newcastle Entertainment Centre in 2015 when I was 5 years old."

Luca:
"Hopefully touring soon. That's the next stage for me."
What's Your Favorite Part About Being a Musician?
Luca:
"I love the challenge of pushing my limits, whether it's precision, speed, or endurance, and most importantly connecting with people."
What's Your Favorite Road Memory?
Luca:
"When I just turned 14, I was touring the east coast and southern states of Australia with a blackened death metal band from my hometown, Newcastle. This gave me early professional live experiences playing some of the best venues in Australia. On the flip side, it exposed me to the best and worst aspects of the music industry."
