Took advantage of the $80 sale and bought these: I teach a beginner drum line of kids from 4th grade through high school and these make excellent "teaching sticks", giving just enough heft and weight without being too much for smaller hands. Scorpion knocks it out of the park again!
Here is my honest answer. It took me around 1 rehearsal to get use to them. The weight, rebound ect, but let me tell you one thing! I will not use another stick again! From the length to the venom grip, there is nothing on the market that compares. As far as the signature, spot on! From logo right down to placement ect! Hands down the most comfortable durable and most importantly playable stick I have ever used.
They may be called the Rehearsal Series , but the quality is still awesome! They do the job admirably! I'm beyond pleased with them & the custom artwork of our band logo & my signature on them!
The drumsticks are absolutely awesome! So is the custom artwork with our band logo and my signature! I'm beyond satisfied!
been using the same sticks for 20 years at least so was a big shift to try the scorpions, but love them, love the grip, love that you can personalize them, heading out on tour in november so that will be the real test, but so far, i've found a new stick to call my own!
I love these drumsticks, 3A. I’m a heavy player, and so far they’re holding up beyond what I expected. Very satisfied. Thank you so much!
I forgot to ask Scorpion to trim an inch off the length (yes they can do that on request).
Heavy enough to force you to use proper hand and finger technique. Definitely recommend.
Love these. The Venom grip works advertised. Awesome product!
Light and sticky. Better choice on a Saturday night than an Asian masseuse.
I love having the chance to test products.
I thought everything I was sent was great. I love that there are people out there, still trying to make great products and advancements in drumming. My only complaint, was I would like clearer instructions on product use. Took me a second to realize that there was a plastic film on the stick tap. Also, the little tabs of tape to use on the top and bottom of the tape, is hard to get off of it's plastic.
I just tried the new Clear Grip Tape. It's fantastic. I use the lacquer 3AX Ball tip sticks, and usually, I put tennis racket tape on them, to help with grip and reduce fatigue. So i was super excited to try out this new offering from Scorpion Percussion. I really like it a lot. Used it at both practices and shows, and it really holds up well. I really like the tennis racket tape, but the main complaint against it, is that is bulks up the sticks slightly. So, when i play my 3As, they feel almost like thicker 5Bs. With this new tape from Scorpion Percussion, you don't get that feel. You get a nice, not overly-tacky feel, and the sticks feel the same. Do yourself a favor, and if you wrap your sticks, don't miss a chance to try this out!
This has been a pretty awesome addition to the left side of my kit to hold a couple sticks and water bottle.
Review Title: Great Feel and Balance
I’m probably a 2.5-out-of-5-star drummer, so take that for what it’s worth! But even us average drummers know when a pair of sticks feels right. These are very well balanced, comfortable in the hands, and feel extremely well made. I’ve really enjoyed playing with them so far. Great sticks!
I have used the stick wraps for a few days and while they feel comfortable, they do not stick very well with the adhesive stick
I have used the stick wrap for a few days and they feel comfortable but they do not stay on very well. I have tried a few times rewrapping them but have not had much luck with the adhesive strip.
I like the balance and the weight that they have it gives my playing more definition. It brings out the tones of the cymbals and drums, it gives my ride cymbal clarity which sounds great! I don’t have to play as hard because they have a well balanced weight to them, which is great and if I do need to play a little harder, it’s just much easier to do it makes the drums more pronounced and powerful excellent drumstick!! I also have Immortal series 5AV drumsticks which is just as awesome. I love the length on that drumstick. Great product you have a new customer Thank you and keep up the excellent craftsmanship 🥁✌🏼
These are some lovely sticks! Looking forward to putting them through their paces!
I’m a 66 year old gigging drummer with significant damage to my fingers, hands and wrists. The Scorpion coating makes it much easier to get through 4 hour gigs. I originally looked at scorpion because I prefer 17” sticks but I love the grip!
I've been playing for over 40 years and have gone through a LOT of drumsticks over the years. I decided to try two pair of Scorpion Immortal sticks, the 2B and 5B. The wood is great quality and dense, which I love, because the sticks tend to last longer. Most importantly, they have a great balance and feel to them. I ended up using the 5Bs more than the 2Bs, but, Scorpion, if you're listening, it would be awesome to try a size in between these models. hint hint :)
Best sticks ive tried in a very long time. I will definitely buy way more of these
Tried this product and I find it doesnt stick to the stick very well for me. I think regular black tape would perform better. I use the vemon dip on my scorpion sticks so I'm used to playing with grip. If you are selling this in US I would have english instructions. I will continue to try this and see if I can master getting it to stick to the drum stick better.
