Never used anything like this before but seems to hold well. The scorpion tin is the coolest part.
Title says it all. I've tried 3 finishes and the natural provides the best balance between the Lawyer and Venom Grip. Thank you Scorpion Percussion for this thoughtful design.
I applied this new tape to a set of raw sticks, a set of rehearsal series sticks, and a set of lacquer Immortal sticks, and it worked well on all models! The tape itself is incredibly thin, barely noticeable from a distance, and doesn't feel bulky or sticky like other adhesive grip tapes or materials. l used the taped sticks for rudiment warmups, teaching my drum students, band rehearsal, and a gig, and in all cases the tape was great! I did notice that the ends would come loose and need to be re-taped after some use. The actual grip strips were easy to peel and wrap the sticks with, but the tape pieces that were provided to seal the ends were tough to apply and keep in place. As soon as sweat was introduced, the ends would peel back and require additional tape. It took a different type of tape to finally seal it completely, but once that was done the grip stayed on perfectly throughout performing. The grip is comfortable, very thin and flexible, and helps with slippage on the raw and lacquered sticks. Definitely more comfortable than most foam, wrap, or tape based grip, and far less messy than wax or rosin based grips. Definitely recommend it for anyone who has issues with sticks slipping.

Bought these sticks for my son to try out and he loves them. His new favorite sticks. He love the extra length and rebound. Im going to need to purchase some for myself.
The weight of these are nice and you can feel the quality. The playability is great.
I ordered the 5A lacquered signature sticks.....When it arrived I was a little bit underwhelmed and contacted Scorpion. They got back to me and clearly explained what I recieved and why things looked the way they did. (signature seemed smaller than I had hoped, etc) In the end it was very clear and I understand. I also, over the years, I've liked a bit more Lacquer on the sticks....so that was a little off to me..... So here is the deal....The stick print looks good and now I understand what I need to do if I want it printed a little bigger...not their fault. The Lacquer was a personal preference so that's on me too. In the end....the sticks are straight, and weight is evenly matched, the printing looks good and I've been using them without issue. And they are not over priced. I ended up adding some spray lacquer to them on my own (again personal preference) All in all, while it is not exactly what I wanted, it's hard to find that anywhere. The product is solid and when it all comes down to it....I'll order again when I need more sticks. - JF - Skunk Draggin'
I have been an avid vic firth user for almost 2 decades. I stumbled upon the company from a Facebook add and the logo caught my eye. Once I learned I could customize sticks to how I want I just had to give it a shot, and I'm so glad I did. These sticks are everything I've ever wanted in a drum stick. I especially love the grip. I'll definitely be ordering more in the future.
Sticks are great. I love them. Just wish you made nylon tips. Stick holds up forever, but the tip doesn't. I use a lot cymbal play. I need a tip that's durable.

The flag looks great! Made of high quality materials, double sided but printed on two separate layers that are sown together. Sharp graphics and of course that stunning Scorpion logo! I am proud to play Scorpion sticks and raise that flag!
5AV These drum sticks are awesome I really love the balance, length, weight, and how perfectly you can handle them. They are strong and durable, plus the venom grip is amazing when your hands are sweaty they get stickier. And having our band and my name on them its a plus, I really recommend these bad ass drum sticks for beginner and professional drummers.

I typically use nylon tip due to the wood tips getting mushy too soon, losing their response and initial bite. I gave Scorpions a try and there is no loss with the wood tip. I eventually settled on the 3a Immortal with an acorn tip. I'm thrilled with the feel of the sticks and consistency of production. As a bonus I received a set of ear plugs and holder, a very nice touch. I'm sold and will continue to use the Scorpion brand. Their shipping has been very impressive, also. Thank you Scorpion!!! I went to the Music City Drum Show this year and thanks to my friend Jonny Hopkins, he told me to check out these new sticks he's trying. I stopped by the booth and bought some sticks I thought I would dig. I've played them on my last few gigs and they're great! The 3A's have a nice feel and weight to them, evenly weighed, and a nice touch. Length is perfect and the grip felt great. For sure going to grab some more pairs soon!

I wasn’t sure if these sticks would be worth it or right for me. But holy crap, they freaking rule! Love them and will order more soon. The only issue I have is the 5A is larger than the 5As I’m used to from most other brands.
