Testament have announced "An Evening With Testament" Tour in support of the Practice What You Preach reissues on Nuclear Blast.
"Practice What You Preach" is the band's third album and they will be celebrating it's 35th Anniversary on the road. Testament, which includes Scorpion Percussion Brand Ambassador Chris Dovas, will play the entire album every night during the tour as well as perform deep cuts and some classic ballads for the first time ever.
Testament frontman Chuck Billy said, "We are getting ready to Practice What WE Preach across the US this May. We will be performing the album Practice What You Preach, we will tell stories and play a few acoustic tunes and finish out with a best of deep cuts. This will be an evening with Testament you don’t want to miss, Horns Up!”
Guitarist Eric Peterson also stated, "This will be a night to remember! Like all of our shows, we have a great time, but an evening with Testament will mean just that! Story telling, deep cuts never before heard, plus Practice What You Preach was a milestone for us, and now will be performed in its entirety. We’ll have some cool tales to tell about the making the record and where we were at during that time in our career. Practice What You Preach was our third full length Major Label Release and our most commercially successful album and, at that time – our biggest selling album ever- when records were actually being sold. We're looking forward to bring some of our classics in an acoustic set to go along with songs you’ve probably wanted to hear forever that we never did, but will do in the 'Evening with Testament'!”

In other Testament news, the band has been working on the follow up record to 2020's "Titans Of Creation" and we hope to hear something new this year. According to an earlier interview with Jaimunji, Chuck Billy said, "I will say the new record, we're very excited for it 'cause Chris Dovas, the new drummer, it's probably the most a drummer has worked with Eric writing material, and it shows."
He also said, "The songs are very strong, very heavy, very fast. We've got a little of everything. We've got some mid-tempo, but really crushing fast drums. I would even say that we went and put — I don't wanna say the word 'ballad', but it's a very slow, old classic Testament vibe, like 'Return To Serenity', that we had the confidence and the song is there that we wrote. This record, we're fired up 'cause, to me, it sounds modern. That's the one thing I've gotta say. It's Testament but modern-sounding, just because I think Chris, he shifts another gear on the songs. I mean, he just puts it to another level as far as the drum playing and inspiring Eric to what he's doing. And it actually opens up the doors for me, challenge-wise, to not just take it the easy way out. I've really had some challenges — a lot more screaming death metal, mid-tempo clean vocals. I'm doing a little bit of everything. So that's the fun part for me and the challenging part, is to make it all work."
