"Weapons of Mass Percussion The 5B Oval Tip Rehearsal Series are my weapon of choice when writing, rehearsing and recording with Netherdred. (and the custom printed logo is top notch) For live performances, The Immortal Series 5BX with Venom Grip are the only weapons I trust to slay the crowd. \m/ \m/ I've played many brands over the years and Scorpion Percussion have the most consistent quality (pitch, weight, straightness) in the industry. (and THE best customer service EVER!)"

Yes, I was there… Day on the Green 1985 Oakland ,CA…. my birthplace. Yes Trek is my real name, and yes, I’ve been playing drums almost all my life. I caught the bug in elementary school and got hooked playing in various garage bands during my high school years. After being in the crowd at that show I knew I wanted to be up on the stage playing music that made people like me want to mosh, throw their horns up, and sing along. Upon graduating high school I realized that the musical instruction I had received was a mere scratch in the surface of what was available, so in order to pursue a career as a professional musician I moved to Los Angeles to attend Musicians Institute. M.I. allowed me the opportunity to tap the knowledge of studio greats like Joe Pocaro and Ralph Humphrey & with the help of my private instructor Dave Beyer (Melissa Ethridge) and long chats with James Kottak (Kingdome Come) I began to get a feel for what was in store for me. Jim Speights taught me about the business side of the industry and Don Famularo sparked my desire to tour with his tales from the road. My eyes were opened to the Latin & Afro Cuban music culture by Eddie “Gajate” Garcia and Efrain Toro, while Chuck Flores gave me a feel for the Jazz/Big Band style of playing. The dream came to life when a security guard at school approached me about a recording project he was a part of, and 3 months later I was playing The Whiskey, The Rainbow, Gazzari’s, and The Troubadour in West Hollywood in support of the finished product. This continued with multiple bands until I relocated back to the Bay Area where I built my 1st recording studio, recorded my 1st albums and played the club scene with more bands, and even did a short west coast run with one of them. I have since relocated to Tucson, Arizona where I’ve had the opportunity to play shows in direct support of Soulfly, Warbringer, and D.R.I., and have recently finished my new recording studio here. I am now actively involved in recording a trilogy of EP’s for my latest project Netherdred who will be making appearances at festivals far and wide in support of their ongoing releases throughout 2026. I look forward to meeting you at a festival near or far from you, come see me at the merch booth, there’s nothing I love more than connecting with our fans, and talking about the music that we’re so passionate about. Yes, I’m a drumologist, my passion is expressing the emotion that the music I make inspires in me.
