Steve Adorno is a multi-talented drummer, songwriter, and producer known for his extensive contributions to Latin Rock, R&B, and disco. Based in New York City, he has spent over four decades as a prominent figure in the music industry. Musical Career and Key Projects GQ (Arista Records): Adorno served as the drummer for the platinum-selling R&B group GQ from 1980 to 2011. During his tenure, the group achieved three #1 Billboard R&B hits and multiple gold and platinum certifications. Seguida NY Latin Rock: He is the current bandleader and producer of Seguida, a pioneering Latin Rock group from the Bronx. The band is recognized for its unique blend of Afro-Cuban, Salsa, and Rock sounds, often referred to as the "Sons of Santana". Devoshun: In the 1970s, as a teenager, Adorno co-founded the disco group Devoshun. Their track "No No No My Friend" was named one of the "Essential Disco Discs of 1976" by Billboard. The Virtual Band NYC (VBNYC): Adorno currently leads this all-star group, which features former members of classic platinum acts like Heatwave, Ashanti, and Rick James. Composition and Production Video Game Scoring: He composed the musical score for the Nintendo 64 game Major League Baseball featuring Ken Griffey Jr.. Theater: He scored the Off-Broadway play RUS, which debuted in New York City. Onroda MusicWorks: Adorno runs this record company alongside his wife and musical collaborator, Lori Rose Adorno. Together, they have produced works inspired by Brazilian music, such as "Positano Love" and "Sergio's Samba".
