Peter Philip DeSalvo, D.M.A., a native Long Islander, is a retired High School and College band director. A respected conductor and clinician , he has directed numerous performing groups at state, regional, and national levels. As a classically trained percussionist, Pete DeSalvo’s performance credits as a drummer /percussionist range from jazz to country, rock to classical, as well as numerical regional musical theater shows . He has performed in concert, opening for major Country recording artists such as Alabama , Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker, Dwight Yokum, Mickey Gilley, and many more playing in large venues with audiences as large as 45,000 people. A proud signature artist, for Scorpion Percussion, he also endorses Mike Balter Mallets, and Grover Pro Percussion. He also maintains an active performing, recording, producing, teaching, and piano tuning career in Pennsylvania, where he lives with his wife, Trish.
