After purchasing the first kit at 17 years old and being discovered playing in a garage, Pirate’s first gig was in a blues/jazz lounge and he has been professionally playing ever since. While he has also been in country bands and an 80s band, his first tangible roots start with the band Crome Molly where he developed his character/persona “The Mad Pirate” or now “Pirate” as locals in East TN know him. From Crome Molly he transitioned to becoming a founding member of Belfast 6 Pack and played many years and shows with them. Pirate is proud to have collaborated and recorded 3 albums with the band. He has shared the stage with amazing bands like Texas Hippie Coalition, Tantric, Hed PE, Steel Panther, Bam Margera, Soil, Psycostick, One Eyed Doll, Saving Abel, Super Bob, Carlynn Devine, Natie Love Joys and more. Pirate currently plays drums for the East Tennessee based band, ADHD Playlist, and is a founding member. He is a proud member of the SJC Custom Drum family and plays with Evans Hydraulic Heads, DW Hardware and Sabian AAX cymbals.
