Based in San Diego, CA, Greg Ramirez Jr. is a dedicated drummer with a growing reputation and a genuine passion for music. With hands-on gigging experience and studies under some of San Diego's top drummers, Greg is excited to share his love of drumming with the world. Greg’s drumming journey includes valuable learning experiences and private lessons with renowned drummers and percussionists from San Diego and Los Angeles, such as Fernando Gomez, Mike Holguin, Charlie Chavez, Adrian Gonzalez, and Mark Lamson. His diverse performance background spans genres such as funk, blues, classic rock, and norteño music. Through extensive gigging, Greg has developed an understanding of live performance dynamics and the practical skills required to thrive on stage. Greg’s current band is Código Efectivo – a four-piece norteño ensemble. The band stays busy with weekly gigs and is preparing to release an original song titled “No Se Vive en El Engaño” in the coming weeks.
