After buying his first full drum set at 17 years old, Pirate’s first gig (he was discovered playing in a garage) was in a blues/jazz lounge and he has been professionally playing ever since. While he has also been in country bands and an 80s band, his first tangible roots start with the band Crome Molly where he developed his character/persona “The Mad Pirate” or now “Pirate” as most locals in East TN know him. From Crome Molly he transitioned to becoming a founding member of Belfast 6 Pack and played for many years and shows with them. Pirate is proud to have collaborated & recorded on 3 albums. He has shared the stage with amazing bands like Texas Hippie Coalition, Tantric, Hed PE, Steel Panther, Bam Margera, Soil, Psycostick, One Eyed Doll, Saving Abel, Super Bob, Carlynn Devine, Natie Love Joys and more. Pirate currently plays drums for the East Tennessee based band, ADHD Playlist and is a founding member. The band loves doing anthem covers, little heard songs and soon will be performing original songs!

Pirate is a PROUD SJC FAMILY Member with his Custom Kit designed by SJC and his wife, featuring black light and glow in the dark features as well as UV Reactive Pirate flair. He runs all Sabian AAX and Evans Drum heads (except his kick drum which is an Aquarian II KICK). One joke he makes almost every gig is that he has given away more sticks than he has broken which truly speaks to the quality of the sticks Scorpion Percussion provides.

In his non musical time he spends time with his family running Pirate Rudder Farms, hiking in the smokies and collecting way too many drum kits.
