John Devos is a drummer based out of Seattle, WA who began his musical journey in Fall 2002 learning to play guitar at the age of 13. John joined his first band, Dead Dreams, in 2003 as a rhythm guitarist but was told to fill in on the drums due to the band's actual drummer never showing up for practice. From there he completely stepped away from guitar and drumming became his passion.
His earliest influences include the likes of Joey Jordison (Slipknot), Dave Lombardo (Slayer), Iggor Cavalera (Sepultura), and Emilio Marquez (Asesino).
John currently plays with the bands Blighted Eye, Blood Atonement, Dalla Nebbia, and Mesmur, and has done previous work over the years with the likes of Comatose Vigil A.K., Ennui, Funeral Age, and Pantheist.
