Brian Windsor is a versatile drummer whose passion for music spans multiple genres and cultures. He is the driving force behind Skálvind, a Celtic metal project that blends crushing double bass, symphonic arrangements, and Celtic influences into a powerful and cinematic sound. Brian is also the drummer for General Tchefary & The Soldiers, an international roots reggae band led by General Tchefary of Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), where he embraces the groove, feel, and discipline that define authentic roots reggae.

From thunderous metal to deep reggae grooves, Brian believes great drumming is about serving the music. His focus on consistency, dynamics, and musicality allows him to adapt seamlessly between genres while delivering every performance with passion, precision, and professionalism.

Brian approaches every piece of equipment with the same philosophy: it has to earn its place. After extensively testing Scorpion Percussion sticks, he found the pair that perfectly matched his playing style. Their exceptional durability, balance, and comfortable feel give him the confidence to push his limits through demanding rehearsals, recording sessions, and high-energy live performances.

Whether recording in the studio, performing on stage, or encouraging the next generation of musicians, Brian strives to build community through music. His personal motto, “There’s always room at the table,” reflects his belief that music is meant to unite people, inspire creativity, and ensure everyone has a place to belong.
