Drew Dye is a highly explosive drummer who brings exciting energy and superb showmanship to any live performance he’s a part of. The love of the stage and the people he plays for fuels his desire to bring the best show possible to any crowd and leave them wanting more. Drew was self taught by watching his favorite rock and metal drummers and got his start in Tuscaloosa, AL at the age of 14. After “cutting his teeth” at a young age, drumming for hire and playing with multiple local acts, he then moved on to the national gig circuit with larger-production bands and higher caliber stage shows.
Now, at least 20 years later, Drew has been a drum instructor for well over a decade and is able to bring his talents in performing to many parts of the country while tacking on many notable shows to his ever-growing repertoire. These days, when he is on the road, he’s with two notable bands on different circuits. His band Redline Drive- based out of Dallas, Texas has had some success playing headline shows and with notable acts such as Stryper, Warrant, Dokken, Lita Ford, and many more. They are releasing their new album Price of Admission in September of 2021. Drew also has another act that delivers a high energy and big production show to many parts of the country called L.A. Roxx. Based out of Louisiana, L.A. Roxx is an authentic 80’s arena rock tribute with the look, sound, and stage show that is worth every cent and more of the ticket price.
