Fragile City emerged in early 2022 as a response to the challenges brought on by the pandemic, particularly its impact on mental health and the local music scene. Founded by Ryan Hatfield, Jon Clemons, and Chad Howard, the trio began jamming together as a creative outlet and a means to support their mental well-being. Their debut self-titled EP was released on November 22, 2022, shortly after they played their first show on July 7, 2022. The overwhelming positive response fueled their passion, leading them to pursue music more actively. On April 4, 2024, Fragile City launched their second studio release, "Bus Stop Bruises," and welcomed their fourth member, Eric Walker, into the fold. As a vibrant part of Denver's music scene, Fragile City is committed to advocating for mental health awareness and addressing addiction issues. The band performs an average of 25 shows a year, sharing their music in New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, South Dakota, and their home state of Colorado.
