What is your current gear setup?

90’s Pearl Export that sounds better than your kit that you spent 5 times more on. 22, 12, 13, 16. 14x6.5 pearl maple free floater snare. Evans black chrome heads on toms and snare. Frankenstein cymbal setup. 14” hats, 20” heavy ride, 19+20” crashes, 18+16” chinas. Tama speed cobra double pedal. Roland tm2 trigger module for live kick.

Where do you call home?

Washington DC / Maryland

When did you start playing? What are your preferred genres?

I began playing drums at age 10. I was inspired by the movies School of Rock and Drumline. I quickly got peer pressured into metal and extreme music, which lead to joining my first metal band at 14 years old. I was constantly pushed by the songwriter of my first death metal band Condemn the Infected to keep up with drum parts written in Guitar Pro. I am a founding member of mycurrent project, No/Más since 2017.

What Scorpion Percussion model do you play?

16” 2B oval tip natural finish. Makes a big impact, and allows quick around the kit rolls.

Who were some of your early influences in drumming?

Lars, and a lot of the 2nd generation drummers influenced by Pete Sandoval.

What is your favorite way to listen to music?

Listening to video game OST’s or late 1800’s symphonies alone… Or letting someone else DJ!

What was the first show you ever played?

Age 15 at Metal Monday at The Ottobar in Baltimore.

Have you ever taught drumming?

I enjoy teaching on a freelance basis, and I welcome new students of any level

What are your favorite, or least favorite things about local scene?

There’s so much talent in my area, which keeps everyone on their toes. Especially the drummers.

What is your favorite part of your kit?

Snare is always home base.

The ol’ reliable.. What is your snare head of choice?

Evans HD dry for studio, Evans black chrome for tour.

Do you use a metronome? When and where?

Ick

If you could play in any band, which would you choose?

My own. Being a part of the writing process always trumps learning someone else’s song.

What have you been working on musically?

Aside from No/Más, I also compose video game/orchestral style music for fun.

What is your favorite part about being in a band?

Being in a touring band is the closest thing to real life Dungeons and Dragons.

What is your favorite memory from the road?

…hah :)

Any new releases in the near future?

No/Más just recorded a new album, which will be released later in 2025

Is there a theme or message behind the music?

Stay tuned and find out!
