Alex Van Halen Knighted
In an unexpected and prestigious international honor, 73-year-old drumming titan Alex Van Halen flew to his birth country of the Netherlands on September 1. In the city of Nijmegen, Mayor Hubert Bruls officially appointed him a Knight in the Order of the Netherlands Lion, recognizing his massive lifelong contributions to rock music alongside his late brother Eddie.
