A native of Christchurch, New Zealand-born, Las Vegas based, Nick Gaffaney has been at the forefront of the thriving Kiwi music scene for nearly two decades. His professional history is intertwined with some of New Zealand’s highest selling and critically acclaimed Pop, Roots and Rock releases, ambitious Jazz and World music projects and his current work with Cairo Knife Fight, a duo in which Nick inhabits the roles of Drummer, Keyboard Bass Player and Lead singer. Based in Las Vegas, Cairo Knife Fight have toured with some of the worlds biggest rock acts, including Them Crooked Vultures, Foo Fighters, Queens of The Stone Age, and Karnivool; and continue to make waves in the US active rock scene with their unique live shows and their most recent album recorded at Dave Grohl's Studio 606 in Los Angeles. Nick is a leader of the new breed of drummers whose own artistic voice is as important to them as their contribution to the work of others and is blazing a path for like-minded musicians everywhere.
